Linking Research to Policy: Implementation of the New CACFP Meal Pattern Consider this your not to be missed session: Join us at the CACFP Leadership Conference for the review that will move all of CACFP forward together during transition. The new CACFP meal pattern went into effect on October 1, 2017. Providers have one year to work toward successfully implementing the new meal pattern before enforcement will begin on October 1, 2018. Researchers across the country have been conducting baseline assessments and surveying providers to understand the key barriers and facilitators to successful implementation. This panel will present the findings of this research, representing a variety of geographical perspectives and provider types (centers, FCCHs, and licensed exempt), and discuss the implications of their findings on successful policy implementation and training and technical assistance needs going forward.
