Every year in July USDA publishes in the Federal Register the new CACFP reimbursement rates. Read the notice here and see the table below.

Family child care providers, don't forget, you're #tier1forayear. Starting July 1, because of USDA eligibility waivers, through June 30, 2022 all family child care providers will be reimbursed at the tier 1 rate. Learn more here.

Learn more about the benefits of participating on the food program, especially this year from Tom Copleand!

Clarification on Table:  Printed Correction from Federal Register. Reduced price in the "supplement" column for centers is supposed to be .50 not .05 (this is how it reads in the narrative text - the table in the federal register had a typo).

These rates are so disappointing, given the fact that all school-age children will receive free lunches. The lack of support for Early Childhood Programs is deeply troublesome.

If the reduced price has changed, you should actually fix it before publishing. Don't you think that is the right thing to do?

Home Day Care providers are struggling with providing the service and food prices going to high and reimbursements are not covering for the service it is provided.

It is really disappointing to notice that ALL food item prices have been increased yet reimbursements have not. Spending more money on healthy food items because we want the children to have nutritious meals and not junk food, therefore reimbursements need to also increase for these nutritious home cooked meals. Otherwise let's go back to just feeding the children whatever we can afford.
